Mac and Mercedes

Meet Mac and Mercedes (aka Missy)! This little bonded pair were abandoned and had to be bottle fed from about two weeks old. Luckily, they flourished, and now they are an adorable, happy, playful, brother and sister who love each other! They are approximately eight weeks old now (July 23rd), and they are scheduled to be spayed and neutered when they are 11 weeks old. We are taking applications for them now, but we won’t place them until the spay and neuter are done. We are looking for an indoor only home or a home with a catio for them. **Important: Indigo Rescue adopts cats to indoor-only homes or homes with catios. We do this for the safety and longevity of the cats and we hope that our community will learn from our example. Outdoor cats or indoor/outdoor cats fall victim to many predators, including coyotes, eagles, hawks, owls, and even loose neighborhood dogs. They can be hit by cars, poisoned, or trapped and taken away by people who don’t like cats trespassing on their property. They can also spread diseases such as feline leukemia and FIV, neither of which are treatable. Cats live a very long, enriched life with a companion kitty as a playmate, a few toys and a cat tree. Please consider re-thinking your cats lives. Thank you!! **Please note: Indigo rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. The first part of our process is to have you complete our online adoption application. This helps us make compatible matches.
