Mabel (bonded with Gertie) Est. DOB 4/2023 Adoption fee: $400 for the pair Mabel and Gertie are the BEST pair of cats!! They came to LapCats at only a few days old after a homeowner had collected 23(!!!) kittens into buckets of his front yard in an effort to “help” one of our volunteers. These girls have grown up in foster care through no fault of their own and are approximately a year old now. Mabel is a playful, snuggly and sweet! She LOVES to play, chase string toys, and doesn’t shy away from some rough and tumble play with her sister. She is a confident little lady! She’ll come running to greet you and wants to be involved in your daily life. Mabel will sleep in bed with you at night—she’s a snuggly, affectionate girl. Mabel is dog friendly! Her foster home has cats and dogs of all sizes—she is fearless and navigates confidentially around dogs. She will even curl up with the resident dogs in her foster home! She loves treats and wet food daily. Mabel and Gertie are often found snuggled up sleeping together and they LOVE to play & chase each other around the house. They are wonderful girls with an endless amount of love and snuggles—true lap cats! The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!
