Update 2009-01-21: Lutin's eye infection is improving steadily. In early January, his eye was so inflamed and red, but now the redness has subsided and the infection is healing very well. Despite his four-times-a-day eye-drop regimen, he remains in terrific spirits and purrs constantly! And thanks to his voracious appetite in his new foster home, he's gone from five to six pounds in only one month!
Our little Lutin (French for "elf)" is a lovely Golden Shaded Persian but so tiny. Just weighing in at five pounds, this little guy was not using his litter box in his home and brought to a shelter. He was adopted, but the problem remained and he was brought back. We stepped in, brought him to the vet, and lo and behold: he had a urinary tract infection! After the antibiotics he is just fine and no special diet is needed. Lutin is affectionate, very easygoing and what a beautiful colour! He fit right in at our adoption center and the gang has accepted him immediately.... now he just needs the perfect ending... a loving home and family!
