My Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Luna Bear is a beautiful little kitten with large yellow eyes and unusually soft and silky black fur. She is very sweet and gentle. She appeared at her foster mom’s feet in her garden around nine months ago as a tiny 5 week-old kitten, no larger than a baking potato. She had lost her family (neighbors moved and left behind their cats and kittens), but seemed to know that a person in the garden would be a friend. Luna Bear has grown into a very pretty, healthy, happy girl. She greets you at the door with her little mews and chirrups to tell you about her day. Favorite activities are sitting on the bathroom vanity to watch the water running, playing hide-and-seek, chasing her furry ball, and coming to your bed in the morning to snuggle a while before starting the day. She loves to watch the Cat TV channel. She is smart and has learned the trick of sitting up for her Feline Greenie Treats. If foster mom is very late for treat time, she sometimes sits up spontaneously just to remind her it is treat time. She is very affectionate and well behaved. She gets along well with other smaller cats, and would like to have a playmate but she would best be matched with a smaller sized cat as she is small in stature and gentle in her play. We are looking for a home for her with no dogs, as dogs seem to be too much for her. Luna Bear is 9 months old, weighs 5.4 pounds, has been spayed and has all her vaccinations. Her foster mom travels for work and needs to find a wonderful permanent home for this sweetheart. Adoption donation $75. Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Go to www.lppnc.org 2. Click on the "Adoption Application" link on the left side of the page. 3. The application will open as a PDF and you should have the ability to fill it in from that page. Be sure to complete all fields. 4. Save the application to your computer, then attach in an email and send to [email protected] 5. Someone will review your application as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, and will be in touch with next steps.
