Lulu

Lulu is one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet! She is very trusting and loving, and is a true purr machine! Absolutely a lap kitty, and the one who will always stay, walk and hang out by your side. She’s an FIV+ kitty. We know that not everyone will want her because of that, but whoever does adopt her will be rewarded in a big way. She is a rare gem of a cat, and will forever be your best friend! Lulu was loved once. Unfortunately, the woman who was taking care of her didn’t know better and didn’t spay her. So when the woman died, and Lulu turned out to be pregnant, the family took her to a local high kill shelter. Luckily, they didn’t get to officially leave her there as one of our rescue volunteers happened to be on the scene and snatched Lulu before she was placed into the shelter system. Three weeks later, Lulu gave birth to six healthy kittens! She’s been a very good and caring mom, and an amazing member of her foster family! Lulu is looking for a real forever family that adore her and keep her safe for the rest of her life. She can be a solo kitty, or adopted into a home with another gentle kitty or even with one of her kids (Munchkin, Muffin, Batman, Nugget, Zoomies, Moo). FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, is transmitted through a deep bite or in utero. It is typically seen in cats that have spent a great deal of time outdoors where the likelihood of altercation with other (male) cats is high. Cats with this condition can lead long, normal lives, but it is important to keep them indoors and healthy. FIV leads to increased susceptibility to infections and other diseases; if the cat is fed a high quality diet and kept free from parasites and other dangers, then the quality and length of life is excellent.
