Loxy

Loxy is named after a coffee shop near where she was found. She has been through so much. She was hit by a car one night this past fall and a group of high schoolers were running for track that evening and saw it all happen. Loxy flew into the air and the driver never stopped. The kids called their friend whose mom is a vet and with their help, she was able to catch her. She took Loxy to Pocopson Veterinary Station to stabilize her enough to get her to an emergency vet. Loxy was bleeding from her face, her left eye was damaged and she had some internal injuries. After her miraculous recovery, she came to Lucky Dawg in December. Her left eye has since healed and she can close it fully. She has a significant heart murmur and takes heart medication daily. She also may need a damaged tooth removed in the distant future. She has come such a long way and is really doing great! We are so grateful to everyone who cared for her. Loxy is a happy kitty, so affectionate and loves to be pet. She is available for adoption and needs a quieter home, without other pets or with calm ones that will give her space. We think with time she will get used to other cats and maybe dogs.
