My Story

Lisa is a lucky girl. She was found on the side of the road by a good Samaritan and brought to an ER vet. She had a broken jaw and a head injury. With rest, good food and good care she has recovered almost completely. The only reminder of her ordeal is a paralyzed tail. She has just enough function to keep it out of the way when she uses the litter box. No messes for this little lady. She is a sleek and beautiful small 1.5 year-old girl with an inquisitive nature. She is a quiet presence in the house. She loves to climb and explore. She enjoys a bit of lap time for pets and cuddles then wants to be on all fours again to find a high place for a nap. She will do fine with another gentle cat after a careful introduction. She currently shares her space with her buddy Fergus, a calm boy. Older children would be best for her because of her tail. This girl is very special and loving and deserves a family that will spoil her for the rest of her 8 lives. Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to sending an inquiry or asking to set up a meeting. (See application at https://www.nwac-oregon.org/cat-application). Once your adoption application is approved, we will contact you to put you in touch with the foster family to ask any questions, set up a meeting. If you submit an inquiry instead of an application, this will delay the process and increase the chance someone else will meet YOUR dream cat before you do! If we get an inquiry, we will ask you to fill out an application before we respond to questions. The $175 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Unless otherwise noted, they have also had a negative test for FIV and FeLV. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care. Please consider adding a donation to your adoption fee, as the demand for rescues to intake cats has never been greater. Please let us know if you would be interested in fostering for us too!
