Lola

This pretty girl is Lola. She is an 18-month-old shorthaired calico and weighs 7.8 lb. Lola was in a foster home raising her babies and was a very good mama. Now she is in our Cattery at the DAWS shelter and waiting to find her forever home. This is what her foster says about Lola: "If you're looking for a cat that has statuesque model material, Southern charm, polite class, and a sweet disposition, look no further than Lola. She originates from Georgia, and it seems she's brought with her the warmth of the south. Lola is both intelligent and affectionate, with a long and lean body, and we wonder if these traits perhaps come from a siamese lineage. She loves to be pet all over, and will give you head butts of affection. When she's done being pet she will sometimes reach out with her paw to bring your hand to her mouth and give a gentle love nibble, saying "ok that's all I need now." She responds when you call her with gentle mews. She looks at your face for social cues of praise and affection from you. She would be the perfect companion to a home with another cat (she now gets along with my resident orange tabby) or she would be perfectly fine on her own as an independent gal. Lola is a climber, she enjoys getting on higher ground like my refrigerator, and she has the long lean body to jump to higher places. She's been an attentive and loving mama of four beautiful kittens, and is ready for the next stage of living the sweet life in a permanent home. This cat is so pleasant and we know when you meet her, her southern ways will rub onto you too, and you won't be able to let this one go!" Lola is vaccinated, microchipped and healthy.
