Little Buddy came to our rescue back in March (2008) from an overcrowded shelter. He was there in the "sick kitty-room" with an upper respiratory infection and was very ill. One of our kind and gentle foster parents decided to take him home and nurse him back to health so that he would not be euthanized at the shelter.
Little Buddy's road to recovery has been a long one. He battled with his sickness which left a permanent damage to his eye. Little Buddy underwent surgery to attempt to repair the eye, but showed very little improvement.
The vet specialist who cared for Little Buddy and did his surgery assured us that Little Buddy is not in pain any longer but that what is left on his eye is similar to that of a "scar" which will likely exist for the rest of his life. He is not blind, but he does have limited vision in one eye. It does not hinder his ability to live a normal and full life, nor prevent him from playing rambunciously with the other cats in his foster home.
Little Buddy now looking for a new home to call his own. He's very social and friendly -- good with other cats and even dogs. He is a tiny boy, around a year old and approx 7 lbs.
Little Buddy has been neutered, FelV/FIV negative, given flea prevention, de-wormed, etc. Required adoption donation is $100.
