Update 2008-08-25: Finally, some new photos of Lily enjoying her foster home which she's sharing with Nanaimo and The Normanator. Her eyes are still not perfect, but we're working on it!
Update 2008-06-12: Lily has moved from the vet hospital to a foster home today in the hope that a more pleasant environment will help to strengthen her immune system and thus fight off the last of her eye problems. Her eyesight is very good now, but some troublesome conjunctivitis (inflammation of the inner eyelid tissues) remains. We're all rooting for her speedy recovery, given our past successes with Super Fritz and Felix (who both had even more severe eye infections).
As expected, Lily is not too pleased to be sharing her space with three resident cats, but she's starting to get along reasonably well with them. And she's very happy to be able to bask in the sunshine by the window and explore all the nooks and crannies of her new foster home. She's just so affectionate, and responds to attention by rubbing her face and body all over her new foster dad, and squirming in ecstasy. Check back soon for photos of Lily in her new home.
Lily is a beautiful two-year-old lilac-point Siamese. She contracted a very bad eye infection in an animal shelter, and it wasn't being properly treated. Now we're on the right medicine and her eyesight has been restored, although she's still a little too sensitive for the camera flash. She is a very easy-going, friendly, gentle and beautiful girl. In our temperament tests we found she is not comfortable with a lot of cats so we are trying to find a home where she perhaps might be an only cat. She's by no means aggressive; it's just that she would prefer to have all human eyes on her. She adores the affection bestowed upon her by the amazing staff at Lasalle Veterinary Hospital in Montreal, Quebec!
