My Story

Names: Liam and Wyatt Ages: Older Kittens Breed: Domestic Shorthair (Liam) & Domestic Mediumhair (Wyatt) Oh hey, thanks for checking out Liam and Wyatt! Liam is technically a tuxedo cat, but he looks like he had a little trouble getting his outfit on before going out on the town. He can’t help his weird little face or his intense stare. Sometimes when he gets really excited or he’s concentrating really hard, he sticks his tongue out a little bit. You’d think this would make him generally unfit to be seen with in public, but he *did* put his tux on, so you have to at least consider adopting him…. Liam loves to play, and he LOVES other cats. When he plays, he chirps nonstop. He chases, he tackles, he wrestles, he goes bonkers for nearly any toy, and then he naps. If you’re lucky, he’ll nap next to you. If there’s anything Liam loves more than other cats, it’s food. And not just any food. CAT FOOD. Liam does find human food reasonably interesting, but if you open a can within earshot he magically appears. Even better, if you open a bag or storage container of cat food, Liam will come racing over and attempt to get into the container. With his whole body. His whole. Body. I wish I could say it’s annoying but it’s actually really endearing. And that’s Liam: He’s a charmer that was dumped as a kitten in the yard of a good Samaritan who takes care of community cats, but who immediately recognized him as a cuddly little man who just needs a loving home where he can wear his tuxedo in peace. “But what about that stern-looking little dust bunny,” I hear you asking. Yeah, I know. He’s real cute, too. That’s Wyatt. He showed up one day in a local community cat colony all by himself, just a stubby little tennis ball with legs and a tail. He’s a little bit bigger now, but just as soft as ever. Wyatt appreciates the finer things in life. He loves fine dining, including the food of humans. Lickable treats are a favorite of his. He only drinks the purest running water available, preferably from cat fountains. He indulges from time to time in catnip, preferring the more intense stimulus of silvervine varieties. He loves spa treatments, such as getting his little ears massaged or his back petted. He loves lounging around in his soft little cloud of fur, watching the world go by – but he’s also committed to fitness, getting daily wrestling practice in with Liam. The Perfect Home: Liam and Wyatt could be adopted individually but in a perfect world, they’d be together forever. While they aren’t brothers, they are true pals. Wyatt would prefer a home without young children, and Liam definitely needs to be in a home with another cat (his preference would be Wyatt). Neither one is very confident around dogs. The only other thing they need is love. (Oh, and food and water and a soft place to sleep and veterinary care as needed. But MOSTLY love.)
