July 15th - We are looking for another foster home for Leo - one that doesn't have a dog . He is an absolute love and would be a loving companion. This is a great way if you are thinking of adopting to see how it goes first.
July 4/2009 - Leo is around 2 years of age and has had his needles including rabies, flea & earmite treated, dewormed, neutered & microchipped. Here is his story through the eyes of his foster mom.
"Hello! I am Leo! It is super to meet you! I was found wandering in the parking lot of a supermarket a couple of months ago, but ended up in foster care due to some really nice people. I am happy in my foster home, but I would love to have a forever home of my very own. I was in pretty rough shape when they found me, but I am well socialized, so someone must have loved me at some point in my life (I think I must have had a bad experience with a dog in my travels, though, cause I really do not like them!)
I am an incredibly handsome buff-coloured, short to medium-haired kitty. I just love cuddling my humans, especially in the mornings. Afternoon is naptime (preferably on a lap). Then in evening, it is playtime! The kitten comes out in me and I love to dash around the house, zooming around, chasing something only I can see. I also love chasing balls, and things that crinkle and glitter, and if it has catnip in it, all the better! I do admit, I get carried away sometimes, and try to play with my human a little roughly (no scratches, just love bites), but my foster mom is working on this with me. Still, my foster mom thinks that I might not be a good match with little kids, in case they took my love bites for real ones. Also, I would not be the best in a home with senior citizens, because I have a habit of winding my way through legs,
Would you be interested in meeting me, and possibly taking me into your home for life? I would love you so much, and would give you back tenfold the love you gave me. I hope to hear from you soon; a home of my own is what I dream about every night.
Love, Leo"
