Leo came to rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. When he first came to rescue it was noticed that he had significant gingivitis and he had a dental done. He will need follow ups every 6 months to a year to monitor his gums/teeth and be given daily Fortiflora to help prevent. Leo enjoys getting pets and lounging in the sun. He does well with other cats given proper introductions. Leo's forever family will also need to continue to help him get to a healthy weight so he can live his longest and best life! As part of the adoption process, vet references will be checked on past/current pets looking for history of routine exams, DHPP/FDRC and rabies vaccines. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable.
