My Story

Leo, along with Rosey, Hazel, Princess, and Max, sadly had to come to our shelter due to a change in the owner's housing's rules. He is used to living with cats and kids but has not recently lived with a dog. That doesn't necessarily mean that he can't live with a dog, just that we can't know exactly how he will react. He could likely get used to a cat-friendly dog that won't chase him after a slow introduction. Whoever adopts him will have to keep an eye on and brush his coat to prevent it from becoming matted. At 21 lbs, Leo is a big boy, but also a gentle giant! He's a tab bit timid at first, so a home on the quieter side might be the best fit for him. It's hard to describe just how sweet he is - you have to meet him to believe it! Our adoption application can be found here: https://www.secondchancear.org/adopt-1 All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption.
