Leela

Leela is a one-eyed Tortoiseshell sweetheart who tips the scales at 12 pounds. She is approx three years old. She is missing her right eye but has been given a clean bill of health. Our vet believes that it was most likely from viral damage as a kitten. He noted no issues or concerns with her remaining eye. Leela has a super sweet demeanor. She is super fantastic, playful and affectionate! She is a purr machine that is generous with her sandpaper kisses once she gets to know you. She loves to be interactive, but she also loves to sleep in her bed next to the window. Because she has one eye, I thought to name her after Leela, the one-eyed character from the animated series, Futurama. And Turanga Leela from Futurama is actually named for the Turangalîla-Symphonie which has a very sweet story of its own! ------- Good with kids?: Probably best with respectful older kids. Good with dogs?: Has been good with our dog. Good with cats?: She's been good with all of the other kitties she has met so far. Leela is fully vetted -- spayed, microchipped, FELV/FIV negative, and current on her vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $100. We accept payment in the form of cash, CashApp and Zelle.
