Ledger

Hi! I'm Ledger. Bet you're wondering how I got my name...Well, one of the many nice people at SAF found me on, well, a ledge. Not any old ledge, though. I was on the elevated Westbank Expressway, on the bridge over the Harvey Canal! I think it was around 200 feet up in the air. I hear everyone asking how I got there & I'd love to tell, but it's just too difficult for me to talk about. (I did find out that another cat was found dead a few hundred yards from where I was - I hope it wasn't a friend of mine!) I will say that I had road rash on my face, and all of my toenails were worn down to the quick!!! I was hanging on for dear life! Before I was rescued, I had two ways of dying: on-coming traffic at 70 mph or plunging to my death. Boy, was I frozen with fear!!! Luckily, I was spotted by the SAF person, and she was able to get the police to stop traffic. She was scared, and so was I, but I made sure I stayed still enough so she could get me with a net! It was such an amazing story, I was even on the ABC/26 news!Whew!!! So, here I am, looking for a new INDOOR home. I'm neutered, vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative, and microchipped.
