Larry (Big Sexy)

Larry is a calm cat, large but gentle and loving. He loves to crawl into my lap in the evenings, paws near my face, and purr contentedly. His foster mom has nicknamed him "Big Sexy". He is interested in new people and will immediately come to a new person for petting, rare in most cats but not in Maine Coons. At 17 pounds he is a bit overweight and is just learning to play with toys. When he arrived he had terrible mats on his back; once they were shaved he began grooming his beautiful blue coat and he is in beautiful shape. He enjoys men as well as women and would do fine with older children who know how to pet and pick up a cat this size. His favorite food is tuna. He amuses himself at night opening cabinets and drawers but has not been destructive. He uses a scratch post. He would do well with a family who wants a gentle and quiet companion who will keep him safe indoors. He is fine with dogs that don't chase him and doesn't hesitate to hiss his feelings if they are too forward. Larry is a sweet, 17 pound dog-like kitty and if his foster mom didn't already have lots of pets he would be staying with her!
