My Story

HISTORY: LAGUNA and his sister, CIENEGA were trapped at a mobile home park in Santa Fe County during a TNR project in 2020. LAGUNA was adopted in early 2023 but returned when he grew fearful of other pets in his new home. TEMPERAMENT: LAGUNA was quite shy as a kitten but blossomed into a social boy at Santa Fe Cats. He very much enjoys attention and treats and being the first to say hello to staff and volunteers. LAGUNA enjoyed spending time with friends in a home setting, including head rubs, lap time, and batting at wand toys. Although he gets along with other cats at our shelter, LAGUNA can be afraid of other pets that do not welcome his presence. He may fare best if adopted as a solo cat, at least initially.
