Kooma is an older gentleman that came to us after being abandoned in an apartment. The apartment holder had called Pet Support to surrender them previously, She stated they were her mothers cats who passed several years ago. She stated they are not friendly to other people, but she worked with them and now they let her pet them. Koomo was kenneled with the other cat from the home, but later separated. The other cat from the home has shown to be tolerant of handling while Koomo has not. He is on an emergency deadline due to severe behavioral issues that have proven challenging to manage in the shelter environment. Koomo has only eaten minimally and is not making BM consistently while being in the shelter. Being a large cat, he is in danger of hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver.) Despite our best efforts, Kooma's needs exceed what we can provide here, and we are desperately seeking a specialized rescue, foster home, or experienced adopter who can offer the dedicated care and attention required. We believe that with the right environment and professional support, Koma has the potential to thrive. Our priority is to find a safe and suitable placement as soon as possible to prevent the heartbreaking alternative. Kooma will need to find long term foster placement or an adopter before 3pm on June 27th, 2024, through PACC.
