My Story

Ever meet a "dog cat"? When you have you never forget them. They stand out as the most relaxed and "cool" cats on the planet. The confidence and relatability of these cats with the personality of a dog are just very .well cool. Knox is one of those. Discovered in Knoxville, TN on the campus of UT Knoxville, this young male orange tabby cat followed a young student home one night. The young man couldn't put Knox outside and forget about him. He was just too cool of a dude. So he brought Knox home to family in Nashville, Tn and soon a friend adopted Knox. An unexplained accident befell Knox and his back right leg was badly broken and it quickly was surgically fixed and he has been on the mend ever since. The former owner who had him just could not endure his recovery time and returned him to the Mom of the young student who found him. Here Knox is recovering and just hanging out as they try to monitor him NOT jumping up on things and disturbing his healing time. Knox likes to do things that humans do. Lounge on a nice comfy chair, watch videos on the young man's cell phone as you can see in the picture. How content he is to just curl up with his humans and be a picture of trust and companionship. Knox is not very big even though these pics make him look large. He is all of 8 pounds and sleek and very strongly marked with strong colors of orange and white. He is handsome, charming, easy going and NOT your typical cat. He has survived more than we know from his past and now we are in charge of his future. We will entrust him to only the best cat home possible. Maybe a home where they couldn't decide on a "cat" or a "dog" to adopt.so maybe this boy named Knox who acts like a dog but is a cat will be the best of both worlds and desires. Everyone could WIN! Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at [email protected] and let us know that you NEED Knox to be your Best Friend Forever..BFF.
