On April 9th a Mama cat who is an outside cat and her five newborn kittens were brought to a rescuer to keep Mama and the kittens safe from outside predators. Since the five kittens have been handled by people since birth, they are very loving, tame, and social kittens. They’ve been started in a home environment and are litter box trained. When a stranger comes in to the room they run up to greet the new person. They are easily handled and held, when they are not busy being an active kitten and playing with littermates. Mama nursed the kittens until they were about 7 weeks old with lots of nutritional support from the caregivers so they are very robust and healthy kittens. Several of them appear to have some Himalayan and two of them have very distinctive markings. They are scheduled to be spayed and neutered in mid June and will be ready for adoption shortly afterwards.
