For The Cats' Sake KIMBA has come so far since she came to us, and gone through so much. She was left in her home for about 6 months after her owner went into a nursing home. Someone just went to feed her but she would hide. When she came to us she buried herself under a blanket in the cage and was terrified. We think stress caused her eyes to develop ulcers, and we had to spend $1400 on her at the eye specialist, but we did save them and she can see something. She's become much friendlier and braver, but would love a quiet home with some unconditional love and patience. We know KIMBA will relax and become even friendlier given the chance. On average, we spend $200 to cover food, litter, spay/neuter, testing, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care or medicine needed. Adopters donate $80 or more, as they choose, to cover cat's expenses, and help our rescue continue to treat and find homes for more cats. This flexible policy makes it possible for people to adopt more than one cat or multiple barn cats. CAT EXPENSES: Spay/neuter $75 to $150. Rabies and FVRCP $50. Test for FiV and FeLV $35.
