Kiki Yes, yes, it's nice to meet you and all that stuff. Let's cut to the chase. I am a 10-year-old female, with a tortoiseshell-colored coat. My owner found me as a stray kitten, and I have lived with her ever since. However, she cannot afford to keep me, so I've been at the HSHC since January 6. I am kind of a one-person cat. Naturally somewhat suspicious of strangers, I can get riled up when new people come at me. I have a history of ear infections, so vet visits traumatize me. You never know what is going to happen to you there! Anyway, living at the shelter has been agonizing because I do NOT like cats. I recently went home with a foster mom who understands cats very well. She took her time with me and didn't force herself on me when I was clearly not in the mood. She knew being around her other cats was a big turn-off for me. She recognized that if you quietly sit with me, I will seek affection and rub up on you for pets. I crave having my head and neck scratched. I might even sit in your lap! I love the laser pointer toy and the battery-operated chaser thingy. If you pay attention to my body language, you will know when I want to be left alone! Therefore, I need everyone in my new home to be 18 or older. I'd prefer that I be the only 4-legged family member. I DO have a sweet, gentle side if you give me plenty of time to get accustomed to you. 5-30-24
