My Story
Life hasn't been easy for Khloe. After ten happy years with a family, a new arrival with allergies forced her to say goodbye. Finding solace with an older friend, she was again devastated by her owner's passing. Shuffled off to her person's daughter's house, a recent attempt to integrate her into her lively household filled with children, dogs, and other cats proved too much for her gentle spirit.
Khloe, a sweet senior with big, luminous green eyes and a coat of soft gray fur, is searching for a haven of peace and love. Life hasn't been easy for Khloe. After ten happy years with a family, a new arrival with allergies forced her to say goodbye. Finding solace with an older friend, she was again devastated by her owner's passing. A recent attempt to integrate her into a lively household filled with children, dogs, and other cats proved too much for her gentle spirit.
While initially shy in new environments, Khloe will blossom in a calm and quiet home where she can be the only adored pet. She may want a quiet, safe haven to adjust, like a bed in a closet, for a few days at first. But don't be fooled by her initial timidity – Khloe is a social butterfly at heart. Soon, she'll be out to greet you, seeking cuddles on your lap and showering you with purrs and affectionate licks.
This discerning lady may surprise you with her playful side. With a feathered wand toy or even just a string, she'll transform into a hunter, stalking, pouncing, and dashing with playful fervor. The best part? You can join in the fun from a comfortable seated position! Khloe enjoys multiple play sessions throughout the day and also has a fondness for catnip and laser toys (although these were from a previous home).
While not a lap cat, Khloe enjoys quality cuddle time, especially in the mornings and evenings. She prefers gentle petting, especially around her jaws, and loves to be brushed, leaning into the sensation with contentment. A relaxed and easygoing companion, Khloe is happy with her meals left out throughout the day and isn't picky about litter types. She appreciates a spacious litter box with high sides and prefers horizontal surfaces like scratching boxes and sunny window perches over high climbing structures.
Khloe has a lot of love to give to the right guardian. All cats adopted from Solano County Friends of Animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations and tested for FIV/FeLV. If you can offer Khloe the loving and quiet home she deserves, with a patient heart to help her blossom, contact SCFoA to learn more about this special cat.
