Keegan is very handsome orange tabby boy with gorgeous green eyes. Keegan has been desperately looking for a family to love him and had been running into homes in the neighborhood where he showed up for food being put out for unsocial trap-neuter-release cats. He was originally TNR'd as well, because nobody had room for him in their homes. Keegan was struggling to adapt to life outside and not long after being released, he showed up with a very painful, swollen ear. The neighbors reached out to the rescue for help. How could we say no to that adorable face?
Keegan was relieved to be indoors and getting help for his painful ear injury. He was taken to the vet immediately where he had surgery for an ear hematoma. He did well with the surgery and was such a trooper wearing the e collar for 3 weeks.
Keegan loves to be petted and does not mind being held. He gets along with the other cats but is definitely not a fan of the dogs in his foster home. He possibly had a bad encounter with a dog during his time outdoors. We will never know what Keegan dealt with in his time outdoors but we feel it was not pleasant.
Keegan would do best in a home without small children and without dogs.
Keegan is about 3 years old ( as of 3/1/24), up to date on vaccinations, neutered and negative for FIV and FeLV.
