July 2024 - Katniss and her son Rocky are now available for adoption. Please note that Katniss and Rocky MUST be adopted together - they are bonded and we can not separate them. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work.

Katniss and her son Rocky were rescued from Hamilton Animal Services in April - Rocky was about a week or so at the time - her other kittens had been killed by raccons but Rocky survived. They went to a foster home where they have thrived and are now ready to find their forever home. Katniss's fur was very sparse when she came to us due to fleas and poor nutrition - but now it has grown back and it is a beautiful shade of gray. She has been flea treated twice, dewormed twice, received her FVCRP and rabies vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. She is a very sweet, loivng cat who dotes on her son and they are always together - they have gone through so much together. She may be a little unsure of a new environment as she is so used to her foster mom's home. It is recommended that they start out in a safe room with food, litter and toys til they adjust to their new surroundings. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. They are in a foster home in the Hamilton area.
