Hi, my name is Kamala!
I was abandoned in a veterinary clinic that didn't want to euthanize me, so they placed me in the care of the organization.
I'm a calm, gentle cat who's very greedy. You'll often hear me meowing "meow meow meoooow" because I'm hungry! I'm quiet by nature, I like to sleep in beds and close to my humans. My foster mom and her housemates adore me, and are willing to keep me for as long as it takes for me to find my perfect match.
I love to be brushed once a day, in a place of my own choosing. I'll even come and get you to continue. I'm a quiet little granny who doesn't run much and enjoys naps to help digest! I like to have 15 to 20 minutes of attention each day to play with my foster family.
Now that my health problems are resolved, I'm much easier to handle. My eyes are much better. At first, I'm anxious about changing families, so I'll need to be isolated in a room (e.g. bathroom or bedroom) in my new home for the first few days. In a small space, I'm immediately more at ease and it makes my integration easier.
With visitors, I'm shy and I don't really like noisy situations. If it's too much, I prefer to hide in a quiet room, but I still go out to investigate the newcomers. It's important for me to be respected and left alone if I'm scared; I have to be the one to make the first move.
I have a funny habit: I poop on the left of my litter box and pee on the right. I'm very organized when it comes to doing my business. I'm housebroken and well-behaved, but I can get anxious if I experience a big change (for example, if a new human moves in or my litter box is moved), so I'm looking for a stable environment.
If you're looking for a quiet, greedy and affectionate companion, I'm the one for you. So, are we a match?
The clinic said I'm used to living with cats, so I could have calm feline friends.
I've never been evaluated with dogs since being rescued, so I don't know if I'd be comfortable living with them.
I really enjoy quiet environments, so I would be happiest in a home without young humans.
