My Story

Jules is a lovely year old silver tabby girl who has cerebellar hypoplasia, just like the rest of her litter. Jules could very well be Jewels, as she is a precious gem whose zest for life is unbounded! She possesses a joyful spirit as she goes about her day, playing with her siblings and looking to her people for cuddles and love. Jules is the most independent and mobile of the bunch, and can motor her way up and down stairs with assurance. She is a mischievous imp who loves to play with you, then run away to solicit a game of chase me! Jules has excellent litter box habits, and remains upright while toileting. She also eats and drinks standing up, a feat sometimes taken for granted, until a medical condition makes it a challenge that needs to be overcome at every meal, which make these cats so special because they just deal. Jules is a lovey who just wants someone to love, be they her siblings or her humans. She would love to have an awesome family who is willing, able and happy to accommodate her and her siblings. For tips on how to care for CH kitties, please check out https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zYh2zLEY0rE for a short video on simple adjustments that can easily be made around the house to ensure safety for these precious furry angels. Jules wouldn’t mind either if you already have a kind and friendly kitty who can be her buddy in her new home. She is a sparkling jewel just waiting to shine brightly for that special someone. Jules has 3 siblings Jade, Jax and Joya. They are all similarly afflicted with CH but with differences in severity. Would you like to make Jules and perhaps her sibling as well, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: avacats.org/adopt/adoption-form. Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping. Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
