My Story

My name is Josie Junction, and I'm a sweet, young, beautiful black panther ready for a forever home. I was part of a colony in Jackson County that was being cared for by a homeless human. Our caretaker always did her best to supply us with food even before she had food, but there was a lot of competition for the food that was available. I was trapped by a volunteer and fixed and vaccinated. While recouperating in the trap, the volunteer noticed I was a sweet kitty, and SBZ took me in so I didn't have to be released back to my colony. When I first came into the rescue, I was underweight, full of worms and bacteria in my gut, and tons of ear mites. I was a hot mess! My foster mom assured me I would get fixed up and gave me lots of love so I would open up to being comfortable in a home. In the last few months with my foster mom, I've really come out of my shell! Since I was part of a big cat colony, I really enjoy being around other cats! I tend to want to go right up and introduce myself, so if you have another outgoing cat in your household, I would love to be a part of your family! My foster mom also has a small dog, and I feel decently comfortable around cat-saavy dogs. My favorite things to play with are laser pointers, fuzzy balls, and any wand with feathers. I really don't like being alone, and when my foster mom works from home, I'm the happiest and will plop myself down on the floor by her desk chair. I have a pretty sweet "coo that I use to communicate with cats and humans alike, and it's pretty sweet if I don't say so myself. Little kids and lots of activity in the house tend to scare me, so maybe older kids and a more calm environment would suit me best. Please consider adding me to your family! I've been waiting months getting all vetted and healthy, and I'm ready to be a part of your family! Please Note: SbZ rescue cats do not come from breeders. The description is our best estimate of breed and is not guaranteed. *SbZ requests that adopted kitties be taken to your private veterinarian to be established right away as moving around can be stressful-even if it's a good stress- and can cause reactions in their immune systems. *If you have dogs and other kitties, please be sure to follow a slow introduction period so they can learn about each other.
