A little shy at first, Jenny (3.5 months old) is an adorable love-bug who enjoys being carried and cuddled, and will greet you every morning with purrs and nudges for love! She is an attentive and caring sister to her handicapped brother Forest, and looking for an adoptive home that will keep these special kittens together.
Forrest was born with a deformity in his back legs, which he has very little use of. Once he forms a bond with you, he's good about helping you know when he needs something. In the meantime, he can mostly hold his bladder but needs help expressing every 4 to 6 hours during the day. At night, he can easily go a whole 8 hours if you put him to bed on an empty bladder. He'll be ready and waiting for you in the morning like a good little boy! He can also tell you when he needs to move my bowels, and is getting better and better at doing that on his own, but still needs a little help about once a day. Other than that, he's a typical kitten that runs and zooms around and gets a ton of joy playing with cat toys and chasing his sister around. He loves a good cat nap, and if you have space in your arms or on your lap, Jenny and Forrest will pile in together for all the pets, love, and purrs. Forrest is more work than most cats, but not more than a dog! Jenny and Forrest will love you forever and we’ll all be best friends!
Although his deformed back leg doesn't cause him any pain, he'll be getting it amputated in the coming months. Moby Kit is paying for it, so his adopter would just need to transport him to the appointment.
Their ideal adopter is someone who is home often (perhaps a remote worker) and has a quieter home environment. We would be okay with older, gentle children who are cat-savvy. We would be comfortable with cats and possibly dogs with slow, proper introductions.
To apply for adoption, please complete our online application: https://www.jotform.com/mobykitrescue/adoption-application.
If you have already submitted an Adoption Application online and would like to be considered for Forrest and Jenny, please let us know at
[email protected].
If your application is selected and approved, you will be contacted and put in touch with his foster family for a meet and greet.
If you submit an application and do not hear back, don't worry! Your application will still be kept on file in case and can be used for other cats that become adoptable.
The adoption fee is just $250 for both Jenny and I and includes the following: spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip, FeLV & FIV testing, deflea and vet examination.
