My name is Jax and I’ve been going through it a bit lately. First my owner passed away and his family was unable to keep my sister and I so we were brought to HOPE. The people here are super nice but I was still a bit unsure and scared at first. My sister knew we were safe and was friendly and affectionate so I started adventuring out of my cage too. Then one night my sister passed away suddenly. Nobody is sure what happened since she never acted like anything was wrong but she was quite frail so the people think she might have had a hidden sickness. As of April 2024, I’m still here! Since I first joined HOPE, I have definitely ventured out of my shell and became quite the character. I’m a big, big guy ready for my forever people. I would love to be your only pet, I hate dogs and don’t care too much for other cats either. We think my size scares them but I sure don’t help by staring them down when they hiss at me. Anyways. I am always one of the first to catch people’s eyes but no one has taken me yet. I love people and attention and will gladly give you a big hug. Okay and I can be a little sassy but it’s all part of my charm.
