Jax is truly just a soul whose intentions are good, but it seems he may have been misunderstood! Jax is around 2 1/2 years old and he was turned in at our Newark shelter by his family who reported that he became aggressive with them. They also let staff know that his tail had been injured due to being stepped on. We're not going to sugar-coat it.....Jax was upset when he arrived. But within two weeks, the medical staff reported that his behavior had completely turned around and he was friendly, calm, and happy to make new friends. Jax was later transferred to us and that's all we're seeing from him too! He's a big boy of about 14 lbs. and he's very sweet, outgoing, and friendly. Jax is playful and he gets a little mouthy while playing BUT, he doesn't chomp down and even when he pats at you, he never extends his claws. He's a good boy that really needs to start over. Jax would likely be fine with another friendly, playful cat but would do best in a home with no kids. He sure hopes you'll give him the chance at happiness that he deserves!
