My Story

Jason loves people, but not so much other cats. He would be best in a one cat home. If you sit in a chair, he will climb in your lap and purr. He also loves to play. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) causes an infectious disease in cats similar to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) in humans. It attacks and weakens the immune system, making the cat susceptible to infections and diseases that don't usually affect healthy cats. There is no cure for FIV, and the use of vaccines to prevent infection is somewhat controversial. FIV is a lentivirus, a virus that causes slowly developing disease. Though eventually fatal, an FIV-positive cat can live for many years without any signs of illness. To help facilitate adoptions we adopt only within a 200 radius from of Lincoln Nebraska and we cannot ship cats.
