My Story

Thanks to a generous donation from the Andy and Connie Ziemelis Charitable Fund, Jack Crawford’s adoption fee has been sponsored by the Home Sweet Home Program! Jack Crawford is a 2 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FeLV negative! ***Jack Crawford is FIV positive – please don’t hesitate to ask us for more information about FIV! Meet Jack Crawford! Jack Crawford is a very shy but gentle guy who is looking for a loving, patient, and understanding family who can continue to help him flourish in his new home. He may need some time to adjust in a new home but after just a few days to acclimate to his surroundings and lots of slow, gentle pets he will start to open up. Once he is comfortable with his surroundings, he is a curious and active kitty who enjoys exploring his surroundings, hopping up in the windows to birdwatch, and you may even catch him batting around a toy or two every now and then. He is a very low-key man who really doesn't ask for much else other than a quiet and safe home where he can continue to come out of his shell (well and of course he LOVES some good petting sessions and really leans into it) Jack Crawford is much more confident and comfortable when he has another feline friend right by his side so he is required to go to a home with another cat. He is currently living in a communal living area here at the shelter with his new best friend Macho who is also FIV positive and available for adoption. This pair of handsome and low key boys would love nothing more than to go home with one another! Jack Crawford is otherwise looking for a calmer and quieter home where he wouldn't be easily startled. So, he is looking for a family with older children at least 12 years of age or older who won't chase or scare him. He should also do ok with other respectful pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another.
