Submitting an application to our website (APlaceFurRescue.org) is the very FIRST step in adopting one of our animals. Next, we will set up a meet and greet time to see if it is a perfect fit for all parties involved. Here at A Place Fur Rescue, we are a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue group that is based out of Sacramento, Ca. We primarily focus our mission to help homeless pets by pulling animals out from the surrounding shelters and placing them into our rescue with foster homes. After that we place them in our two pet store locations (Petco on Folsom Blvd & Petsmart in Delta Shores shopping center). We also bring them to our community adoption events. All in the hopes to get them even more public exposure and increase their chance of finding forever loving homes. Every animal in our organization is vetted by being spayed(females)/neutered (males), microchipped, and vaccinated before they leave our care as well. We offer free nail trims for life, and every pet goes home with a goodie bag filled with pet store coupons, new toys, and treats to get them comfortable in their brand new forever home. We want the absolute best homes for our pets, and are hopeful potential adopters have that in mind as well when pursuing one of our pets for adoption.
