Ivy was found in Philadelphia with a bunch of small issues. She has slightly crossed eyes, a left snaggle tooth (both giving her a distinct look), limb stiffness, gait problems, skin issues on her nose, and noticeable muscle tremors. Cat Tales was asked to take the case, and of course, we had to help her. Ivy has been under the care of a neurologist and after multiple muscle biopsies, bloodwork, and a spinal tap to rule out a neuromuscular disease, Ivy was diagnosed with a painful severe muscle infection. Ivy was treated for a month with an antibiotic for her condition. With this treatment, Ivy's demeanor changed--no longer stiff and in pain she could finally adjust to her foster family and she started to show affection and her playful side blossomed. Ivy loves watching the birds and squirrels out the window. and also loves the wand toy with feathers. Once comfortable Ivy enjoys being picked up and put on your lap for pets. She does like to play with the other foster kitten but doesn't quite know how to play gently, so she'd do better with other older kitties who like to play. Ivy will take some time to trust her people, but then will be a sweetie once she trusts you. While she is sweet, she will also let you know when she is finished with snuggle time. She just can't wait to find a forever home where she can enjoy her life now that she's feeling so much better.
