Meet miss Iman - our very own shelter supermodel! Sweet Iman had a litter at only 1 year old, and missed out on getting to be a kitten instead of a mom (kittens have been adopted)! Can you believe this gorgeous girl came to us from a tragic hoarding situation? This young girl has been patiently awaiting her forever home, but she can't understand why she hasn't been chosen yet! Iman is delicate and sensitive, so she'll need someone who has experience handling somewhat anxious cats. It takes time to build her trust in you, so patience and positive-reinforcement are key. Building up her trust is the most rewarding process - and boy does she reward you for it! Once she trusts you she is almost hyper affectionate, rubbing all over you and even climbing in a few chosen people's arms. We quickly discovered she also ADORES MALE cats, and would love a home with a new (male) partner in crime! When Iman is stressed or first meeting you, she can sometimes be a bit nervous and hissy. It doesn't take much to get her comfortable with you, as she is very sweet and food motivated. Iman was undersocialized early in life, and is now so hyper for affection she can become a bit overwhelmed - so someone who knows and loves learning cat body language is a must! She would be best with someone who is cat-savy and not a first time cat owner. Calling all cat whisperers! For this reason, Iman would prefer an adult only home. I think all of us here are a bit jealous of who takes this quirky girl home! She is hilarious and we're sure her adopters will learn lots of new funny things we have yet to discover. She is a chatty little purr machine with tons of energy for exploring and playing.
