Ichabod

Ichabod is estimated to be around 10, but he doesn’t show his age at all! He's spunky, active and playful, and the true embodiment of an orange cat. He’s such a sweet guy and likes to be involved in every second of his foster mom's day. Ichabod was found as a stray, and we suspect his previous owner dumped him when he started to show signs of illness. He is diabetic, but it's easily controlled with an insulin shot every 12 hours. Because of his diet, which consists of pate wet food and boiled chicken, he needs to be the only pet in his adoptive home. He cannot have any dry food. His medical care currently consists of insulin shots twice a day, 12 hours apart. His adopter will need to have a strong relationship with their vet and be comfortable with needles. Administering an insulin shot is very easy and we're happy to provide coaching. Ichabod also likes to drink from the sink, so he would probably love a water fountain. If your application is selected and approved, you will be contacted and put in touch with his foster family for a meet and greet. If you submit an application and do not hear back, don't worry! Your application will still be kept on file in case and can be used for other cats that become adoptable. The adoption fee is $50 and includes the following: spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccines, deworming, microchip, FeLV & FIV testing, deflea and vet examination.
