Humphrey

** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay neuter/surgery** Humphrey, the incredible kitten, has an estimated date of birth of 4-30-24. He is a master at finding fun things to play with no matter where he is. It might be another kitten’s tail, or their foster mom’s shoelaces or a leaf that has fallen off the plant…there is fun wherever Humphrey is! He is also a soccer pro, dribbling a ball across the floor and keeping the other kittens away from it. We were going to hire him out to The Crew but thought maybe he was a little small for professional competition. He also has a purr that warms your heart, and he loves to snuggle after a round of playing hard. Humphrey has been in a foster home with other kitties and two large dogs and gets along with everyone. He is totally unimpressed with the size of the dogs and attacks their tails whenever they start wagging. Humphrey has come a long way from his days when he was found as a tiny kitten roaming the streets on his own and was less than 2 lbs. He was lucky to find a kind person who knew that he needed a safe place to grow up a bit before he found his forever home and who brought him here. If you think you would like to add some fun to your home, and have time and love for a beautiful little black kitten, submit an application asap so you can set up a time to meet Humphrey. And if you have room in your home and in your heart for a playmate for Humphrey, please consider adopting a second kitten! Kittens do best in pairs, have less behavioral problems and are happier! No one can play with a kitten as well as another kitten, plus you're saving two lives instead of one! This little cutie is in a foster home and not at the shelter, so a meet and greet must be scheduled.
