My Story

Honu means "turtle" in Hawaiian, so it's very fitting for this beautiful Tortoiseshell. Honu was among the 13 cats and kittens that were dumped off at our shelter overnight. Honu was crammed into a tiny carrier along with her five kittens - but that is all in the past now. Honu is no longer nursing; she has been checked out by our vet and she's fully vaccinated and is now spayed. Our volunteers have done an amazing job "erasing the past" for Honu and her friends. She read to get a fresh start on life! She's very cuddly and loving, and she gets along great with other cats and seems receptive to dogs.
