My Story

Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some cat experience Could join a calm home with older kids and teens May be ok with other cats Honeyfern is described by her foster as "an affectionate sweetheart" and we couldn't agree more! She's a very sweet cat who loves cuddles and attention. She chirrups, trills, and mews (she's chatty but not loud), and loves to rub her face against her peoples' legs as well as knead and groom them. Honeyfern has a lot of love to give! She has big, expressive eyes that seem to only get bigger when she's conveying her thoughts, and just basks in your love and attention when it's reciprocated back to her. Honeyfern can take some time to adjust to a new space, which is typical for most cats. She's sensitive to loud noises, commotion, and environmental changes. Her foster shares that it may take her a little time to adjust when introduced to a new home, but responds very well to one-on-one sessions. Once Honeyfern bonds with you, she trusts you fully and will adjust more easily. In her current foster home, she's lived peacefully with older children and three other cats. One way to Honeyfern's heart is through play! She loves catnip toys, chasing ping pong balls, and soft toys she can carry around the house. She likes to toss small toys like balls around and trills like she's laughing when she does, letting you know how much fun she's having. Her foster shares that Honeyfern "adopted" one of their children's small stuffed animals and would sometimes take it from a pile to the bed, snuggle with it, and then return it to the pile when she was done, which is the sweetest thing! Honeyfern likes to scratch, and is very good about scratching scratch posts/pads if they're available. As much as she has bursts of activity, it's often followed by hours of lounging, which she also takes very seriously. Honeyfern is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form!
