Honeydew is a very sweet and serene cat, who was recently a wonderful mom to 5 kittens. While they enjoyed playing with her tail, leap-frogging over her and pouncing on her head, Honeydew showed exemplary patience. One of her favorite things is sitting on the window sill watching the world go by. She’s such a chill cat. She enjoys chin scratches and ear rubs and being with people, but she’s not demanding of attention and is just fine keeping her own company. While she’s not all that into romping around with wand toys and playing, she will talk to you to let you know she’d like your attention or that it’s mealtime. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle lap cat, Honeydew is the lady for you! Please fill out an adoption application at www.cedar-rapids.org/animal. Once the application is approved, you will be able to meet with the cat you want to see. In order to be approved all animals in the home must be sterilized and current on a rabies vaccination. Every year millions of unwanted kittens are born! It might seem that adopting one cat won't make much of a difference, but to this one kitty it would make the DIFFERENCE OF A LIFETIME! It is our goal to help reduce the number of unwanted, homeless pets in our community, all dogs and cats adopted from the Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control shelter are sterilized prior to leaving our facility thanks to a grant from PetSmart Charities®.
