My Story

Introducing Honey (estimated Date of Birth 3.22.22), a resilient and beautiful girl who has overcome a difficult past. Honey was rescued from a hoarding house that tragically burned down, leaving behind 43 cats and 48 dogs. Thankfully, we were able to provide a helping hand to some of these precious animals, including Honey. Although her early days were filled with hardships, Honey is now healthy and ready to embark on a new journey to find her forever home. Due to untreated ear mites, she has crinkly ears, which only add to her unique and endearing charm, but shouldn't pose any issues for her in the future. Honey is a curious and playful girl. Once she settles into a place, Honey is the first one to greet you when you come in to their room. Every day she learns more and more that people are friends and that getting pets is nice! She loves to rub on your legs and is "chatty," offering lots of chirps and sweet meows while you give her affection. She also loves spending time playing and cuddling up with her sister, Canola. These two girls have been through a lot, and they find a lot of comfort in each other, which is why we are recommending they be adopted together. While they may need some time to adjust to their new surroundings, we are confident that these resilient girls will blossom into sweet and loving additions to your family when given the patience they so deserve. We believe Honey and Canola would do well in a variety of homes. They are very used to living with plenty of cats and dogs and they likely will feel the most comfortable with other furry companions to keep them company. While they are on the shy side, and need time to settle in, they do currently live in a foster home with children and have handled interactions with young, boisterous kids without any issue. If you are looking for a furry friend (or 2!) who have triumphed over adversity, Honey and her sister Canola could be the perfect match for you. Are you ready to make Honey and Canola a part of your family?
