My Story

Approximate Date of Birth:1/30/2022 Description: Meet beautiful Hera, a unique, charming, and loyal companion with a personality as distinctive as her appearance. With her raspy meow and striking white whiskers set against her tuxedo fur, she captures the heart at first sight. Her initially shy yet playful demeanor blossoms quickly into a sweet and endearing nature. Intelligent and fun, she revels in the simple pleasures of gazing at birds through windows (or an enclosed catio), and engages in spirited play with toy mice, strings, and kitty TV. She loves to hear praise for her playful endeavors. Always grateful for treats, she'll send affectionate nudges and soothing purrs your way. As a loyal and loving companion, she's very well-behaved and eagerly awaits the opportunity to bond over shared moments of play, gentle chin scratches, and tender pets. Bring Hera into your home and discover the joy of having the most devoted of furry friends by your side. Words to Describe Me: Friendly, Playful, Calm, Sensitive, Unique, Cute, Affectionate, Observant, Adaptable, Sassy and Sweet, Good at Communicating Favorite Place to Sleep: Next to my human, in a little kitty tent with a blanket and toy mouse, inside a cat tree house, or a cardboard box Favorite Toy: Bunched up thick ribbon on the end of a string toy Perfect Day: A perfect day for Hera would start with a leisurely morning spent watching birds through the window from her cozy perch, and then later a play session with her beloved ribbon string toys, pouncing with playful enthusiasm. Her human joins in the play with a string toy, and provides gentle chin scratches and pets as a reward for catching her toys. As the day progresses, Hera finds moments of relaxation, curling up in a sunny spot by the window to bask in the warmth and tranquility. Her human sits nearby, reading or working, offering occasional words of encouragement and affectionate gestures. In the afternoon, Hera may venture into an enclosed catio or near a window again, where she can stretch her legs and watch outdoor activities. As evening approaches, she settles in for some quality cuddle time sleeping near her human. Kitty's Likes: Chin scratches, behind ear scratches, sometimes butt scratches for just a little bit, being held and walked around, looking out windows with her human or sitting in an enclosed catio watching birds , playing with toy mice, playing with bunched up ribbons on the end of a string toy, Churus and Temptations treats Kitty's Dislikes: Doesn't like fast entrances or reaches out (will hide), and becomes nervous and grabs you if too near or too much belly play (doesn't scratch but will grab) Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Chin scratches, behind ear scratches, sometimes butt scratches for just a little bit, being held like she's lying on the branch of a tree and walked around, looking out windows with her human, playing with toy mice, playing with bunched up ribbons on the end of a string toy, Churus and Tempations treats Favorite Treat: Churus (with Temptations being a close second) Job Title in Foster: Treat Director When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Director of Pest Control Other information: I only have 3 teeth, so any nibbles feel like a toothless lizard, and I keep my claws in when I bap... I use that and raspy meows as a way to communicate. Good with Cats: Likes cats given a slow and proper introduction. Good with Dogs: Likes dogs given a proper introduction. Good with Children: Can live with children over the age of 12. Companion Animal: Requires a companion if left alone for long periods of time. Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.
