*************************************************************************************************************** HEMINGWAY is part of a bonded pair and MUST be adopted with his partner, ERNEST. *************************************************************************************************************** ***IN FOSTER*** “It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end."-Ernest Hemingway.   Hemingway the cat is ready to write the next chapter of his life's journey in a home he can call his own with his brother and best friend, Ernest.  "The way to make people trust-worthy is to trust them," is an Ernest Hemingway quote that certainly resonates with our boy. Time spent in a loving foster environment has allowed Hemingway to become more confident and comfortable. A calm, low-energy fellow, Hemingway can be found lounging in comfy cat beds during the day and sleeping at the foot of his foster mom's bed at night. No mojitos and late nights for this boy!    Hemingway and his brother have recently joined in the morning “team meeting” (as observers at this point), where the resident cats enjoy a petting session with their foster mom. Might he consider eventually becoming an active participant? During the day, Hemingway enjoys a good play session with the ball-and-track toy, and he can often be found sitting in front of the track waiting for the action to begin. Perhaps he is hoping his namesake's favourite 1929 Rolls Royce will pass by! Either way, Hemingway will certainly add some entertainment to your household, as he enjoys a good romp with his brother and playing with his catnip toys (A healthier choice than Cuban cigars!). When sleepy, Hemingway relaxes into his affectionate side; before a nap or settling in for the night, he enjoys having his cheeks and the front of his neck brushed before drifting off.  Hemingway would like you to know that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Ernest, so they will need to be welcomed as a pair.  They currently share their space with resident cats and would be happy to add more feline love to any home. A calm atmosphere where he can lounge around with his brother and enjoy life to the fullest will suit him perfectly. Are you ready to add these sweet ginger brothers to your family? Hemingway and Ernest will be more than happy to embark on that journey with you. The famous author once wrote "There is no friend as loyal as a book." Our boys would like to change this Hemingway quote to read: "There is no friend as loyal as a cat." Who could disagree with that? -------------------- The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...or, double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption. -------------------- Interested in adopting Hemingway?
