Imagine a furry present of purry perfection, and up pops Hemingway, a quintessential kitten simply too precious for words!
This gorgeous, golden-eyed handsome boy came to AVA because a family member was immediately allergic to him upon first meeting. Hemingway became an instant darling at the adoption centre with his friendly outlooks and adorable playfulness. Although a bit overwhelmed by the newness of his changed environment, his shyness lasted until toys and treats are offered, then his irrepressible curiosity and absolute need to engage with people came to the fore.
Now happily settled in his foster home, Hemingway continues to charm all who meet him. He does not like to be alone, and is happiest hanging out with people or playing with wand toys. Who can resist his head-butting and purring full-body rubs?! Hemingway is looking for his very own family of loving folks to imprint on, and one or two friendly and playful cats to be his best buds. If that describes you, Hemingway is ready to go home now!!
Would you like to make Hemingway a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: avacats.org/adopt/adoption-form.
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
