My Story

UPDATE: Thank you to Joyce of "Companions 4 Ever Rescue" in South St Louis County who is going to care for these cats! Can you help this mother & her 2 babies (all polydactyly)? They were abandoned and crawled under a porch. With the icy weather, the man brought them to us, but we have no room. He said he called her "Arkansas" because she was "inbred - has extra toes & the poor kittens have the same thing. Still hated to see them freeze to death." Well, we usually don't take cats in because few get adopted and we are always full, but it just seemed crazy to send them back out in the ice with this guy. The kittens are starting to eat kitten chow & canned food and are getting around fine, but need to be handled by humans. They are temporarily in a home with lots of dogs which is scaring them. Could you give them a small room for a few weeks? Call the shelter or e-mail [email protected]
