My Story

THANKS TO THE BLAIR FAMILY OF GREENUP, KY FOR GIVING HELEN A LOVING, FOREVER HOME. Helen is named after ‘Helen of Troy’ because of her toughness and resilience. Helen is a female short hair Russian Blue cat who was brought to the shelter as a stray from the Blaine, KY area. Thank goodness the family who rescued her realized that she needed to see a veterinarian and they took her for medical evaluation where it was determined that she needed hernia surgery on her left side. Upon completion of the surgery she was brought to the shelter and she has recovered in our care. Helen is estimated to be about 1 year of age (10/27/09), but she does not have the personality of a stray cat. She is very friendly and loves attention. Don’t those big gold eyes just melt your heart? Helen would be a great companion for anyone due to her easy going personality. Are you that special someone to give this sweet girl a loving, forever home? She is litter box trained and will be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed prior to leaving the shelter. Her adoption fee is $40 to pay for her spaying, vaccinations, dewormings. To find out more about Helen, please call the shelter between 9-3 Mon-Thurs, 9-4 Fri at (606) 673-4509 or after hours/weekends, call Kim Perry at (606) 638-0512 or email [email protected]. Call for a quicker response.
