My Story

Once upon a time, Haskem (pronounced Ask Him) had a family, but for some reason, he had been out on his own for some time. One day he showed up on his foster family's doorstep, begging for food and affection. The family took him in, fed him and provided him with more affection than he expected to get. For a few weeks, they tried finding his family, but to no avail. Haskem had a severe ear mite infestation as well as tapeworms for which he was treated but was otherwise quite healthy. His foster family has other pets (cats and dog), which he gets along with most of the time. The family also has children, which Haskem seems to adore. It would be nice if he could go to a home with gentle children. He is well behaved, clean, smart, playful and quite chatty! He will come when you call and is pretty clear on letting you know what he wants or needs. He likes to lie on shoes; he will even pull them off the rack to make himself a "bed"! He likes the outside and tolerates a harness and leash well, even though he can figure out how escape at times. Haskem and Cuddles (now Sable) have been adopted together!! The final photos are of them in their new home. This is what the adoptive parent wrote: Yes Haskem has definitely made himself at home, he's quite the character and doesn't seem to mind all the picture taking. It has been much easier getting pics of him than Sable. She always seems to be on the move when I have the camera out. Haskem and I were just visiting my neighbour and I laughed to her saying I think I also have a dog in Haskem...he likes his walks but only likes to visit for a short time then he starts looking for his girl, Sable. I've attached another pic I thought you might enjoy but it isn't a very clear one. If you look closely Sable is sitting on my back. I was bent over petting Haskem on the chair and she climbed onto my back and sat down. I was trying to take a picture but had a hard time because I was hunched over. You can see all of her in the reflection in the mirror behind. It would have been quite amusing for someone else to watch. She's a little character too!!
