Harvey

Harvey was a street cat, or a feral, as it is known in the cat world. A kind person was feeding him, and noticed a sizable, infected wound, on his forehead. Luckily for Harvey, he was taken to the SpokAnimal shelter, where he received medical care. Feral cats are routinely tested for Feline Leukemia and the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Harvey's test was positive for FIV. In March, Harvey came into my life as a foster. Since Harvey was positive to FIV, care was taken not to allow interaction with my other healthy cats, as this is transferrable. I have a dog, but the canine population are resistant to this disease. This handsome boy is around 2 years old. He has been transformed from a disheveled black and white long-haired tuxedo into a well-groomed chic snazzy boy! Since March, he has been such a brave cat, having gone through several surgeries, to address medical issues as they arose. With each one, he has been such a trooper. He rallied through all of them (to include neutering), trusting me implicitly with his care. Harvey tends to have a sensitive stomach. This is managed well with "Royal Canin Gastrointestinal" diet of dry and wet food. Now he is ready to live with a very lucky person or persons, who can give this awesome cat, the love and cuddles he so desires. Please don't be deterred by his FIV diagnosis, as he will enhance your life in many ways. Harvey is such an affectionate guy, who loves nothing better than to lay on your lap, whilst being groomed, purring ecstatically! Give this wonderful cat the life he deserves.
